Currently having a BIG issue with folks calling marriage equality as queers confirming to a (failing) heterosexual institution & connecting queerness to sexual liberation. That monogamy & choosing to have a family is considered conformity. Have queer activism, in their search to separate from heteronormativity (& i use that term very intentionally), purposely “othered” themselves & thus have began “demonizing” couples who are in monogamous relationships with children?  Have queer intellectualism actually become a form of elitism; theorizing everything to the point that common LGBT experiences have been lost in the dialogue?
